Just pre-ordered The Dangerous Summer-Reach for the Sun on vinyl. I've been waiting for this release for awhile now. So YAY! It doesn't come out until October, but that's fine with me. I like surprises.

I also (finally) got around to ordering a new stylus for my turntable. I broke it in the move and should have ordered it weeks ago, but was hoping to find it in a store somewhere. I also like instant gratification. All the stores have them on their sites, but not in the stores. Thank god for Amazon.

It took about 4 hours, but I downloaded and watched Wild Target last night. (I still have Cherrybomb sitting on my desktop unwatched. Ooops)

Here are some thoughts... )

I don't know how Rupert Grint continues to make me even more attracted to him with every passing year. I can't even express it in words. It's just a lot of capslock and keysmash at this point. He turns me into a speechless pile of goo.

We will have assless, ginger babies and they will be beautiful.

Just watch this movie. I can't be coherent or insightful about it. Mostly because it's just harmless fun and the cast alone is worth the 90 minutes of your life.

British cinema perfection.
Just saw on Facebook that my best friend from ages 9-14 got engaged tonight. Seriously every time I see these people are getting married or having babies I just think of how unhappy they're going to be in a couple years. Though they're all the non-ambitious type anyway it's kind of sad to follow in your parents footsteps like that. It's something I promised myself I'd never do.

On a happier note my obsession with Stark and American Idiot have reached all kinds of new levels of ridiculousness. I'm sure some of you understand. LOL If I don't get my hands on that cast album soon there's going to be issues.

Not much else to report. I keep starting entries and then never finishing them. So for some bullet points.
  • I finally got around to watching Stargate: Universe a while back. It's kind of awful and not the way that Atlantis was awful, but still worth it. Cliche characters and some new obsession with religion I'm not entirely comfortable with. The whole sexualization of the verse is also something that's not working for me. It's coming back on Friday and I'll probably keep watching just cause I like the tidbits about the other characters and Michael Shanks has an appearance on this run which I'm looking forward to.
  • Speaking of Michael Shanks...does anyone have that gif of him and Ben Browder at Comic Con a few years back. Yeah you know the one I'm talking about...
  • I've been on an original slash kick the last week or so. Which means I've been staying up until ridiculous hours of the night and sleeping even crazier ones. And my books have been put on the back burner, which hasn't stopped me from buying more.
  • My friends and I got fucked up on vodka and weed the other night and danced in the rain. It's one of those defining life moments. We're also decided we really early 90s. Though that might be all the Courtney Love speaking.
  • I've decided on my next tattoo. It's pretty much going to be something like THIS somewhere on the back of my neck. I'm pretty excited about it.
  • The Generation Kill Anon Kink meme has brought out aaaaallllll the Brad/Ray shippers. Apparently there's a lack. LOL I never noticed but that's cause it's mostly a no-go area for me.
  • I WANT THIS SO FUCKING BAD. It's pretty much my favorite shirt ever. The fact that I'll never see it on him again makes me so sad. :(
Apparently I had a lot more to say than I realized.

I also seem to have finally become the victim of LJ's notification issue, in that I'm not getting them. I'm surprised it took this long.
Went to go see HBP at midnight last night with my friend Shaina. I should have done this when I got home, but it was already 3:30 when I got home and into bed.

Possibly spoilerly thoughts... )

I'll leave you with my current favorite picture of Rupert.

Torchwood fandom has lost their freakin minds today. I honestly don't believe that, sorry.

Also I want to do BAD, BAD things to Rupert Grint.

Some comments:
Rupert: You never say much but at least you're pretty.
Dan: Leave the comedy to Rupert please.
Emma: Just STFU. You know forever.

And that clip was really boring. They couldn't give us something better than that?

Rant

Okay I LOVE Harry Potter.

I love Rupert Grint.

I can't wait for Half-Blood Prince.

If only to see Rupert in Quidditch gear.

But really, the movies are terrible.

Dan and Emma make me cry with some of their acting choices sometimes. And NOT in a good way. I'm watching Prisoner of Azkaban right now on ABC Family and every time I see it I try to figure out whose idea it was to make Lupin so OOC. It's actually painful to watch some of those scenes. I think David Thewlis could have done an amazing job if they just gave him better material.

Gripe over. Maybe I'll watch Order. It's been awhile and it doesn't make me scream. Much.
Well I'm bored so I'm going to talk to all you nonexistent people.  Finals are really starting to be a pain at 8 in the morning.  I have absoultely no motivation to study for them so I end up waking up at 5 or some other ungodly hour to prepare and then I'm like falling asleep in the middle of them.  Thank god I only have one left, even though it's not until Friday and it's now Tuesday. Seriously it's time to go home.  I did just get up from a three and half hour nap which was nice, except for the construction going on ouside my window.  That'll also be nice to get away from.

What else can I ramble on about today?  Yankees are playing thier home opener against the Red Sox tonight.  That will probably take up at least some of my time and frustration tonight, though with Idol it'll be a toss up.

Well I guess I really didn't have as much to say as I thought I did.  Maybe I'll just go back to sleep, try and recapture the lovely dirty dreams I had a few nights ago involving Rupert and a very small bed.  Or find some nice fics to read. We'll see.

Til tonight and Idol reactions

3 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well today was the unforunate day that I DIDN'T get to see Rupert in New York for the premiere of his new movie, which I'll probably have to wait another year to see. Anyway, I managed not to think about it to much, surprisingly. Pics of the event are up everywhere and at least he's not looking his best, not that he could ever look bad, but his outfit won't exactly go down as one of my favs...though anytime he wears jeans it just gets to me. Enough of that for now.

Politics

I miss Bill Clinton.  Honestly I'm not joking.  We watched some nice adverts from the 1992 election today in my polysci class and omg it was hilarious.  Ross Perot was just nuts and he sounds like Jon Stewart's impressions of George Bush.  As for that other Bush, his ad was like politics for 12 year olds, I swear.  He was speaking to a room filled where almost everyone was probably over the age of 35 and you would think he was in a 7th grade social studies brainwashing them all with his right-winged crap.  Seriously I don't know how this country went from the years of depression of Bush Sr. to eight years of prosperity with Clinton to the increasingly deeper hole we now seem to be digging for ourselves.  It makes me worry what's going to happen next.  If only Howard Dean hadn't screwed up his nomination campaign, maybe we'd be in a better place.  At least I have the thought of moving across the Atlantic to be closer to Rupert to help me through the next three years and beyond...haha

On a completely different note...I'm kind of upset about not being able to go see Rupert in NY this weekend and the N. American premiere of Driving Lessons...BUT...I have next July and the NY premiere of OOTP to look forward to.

17 DAYS!!!!!!

ARGH!!!

I cannot even express in words how pissed I am about missing Rupert in NY.  If I was home I would totally be there and probably dragging people with me....BUT I unfortunately am still at school on the 30th.
