Glee & Bones

So Glee. I know everyone loves it, but for me unless I start getting really really high before I watch it or it starts to get better I'm gonna have to stop all together. I loved the pilot so so much that what's happening now is a disappointment.

My thoughts on 1x03:

• can we stop with this early 90s R&B? It was terrible then and it's even worse now. If we're gonna do 90s music at least give me some Spice Girls.
• if I hear Mercy in one more show or movie I'm going to kill someone. Seriously that song is awful.
• When did this show become Bring it On?
• I hate delusional high school girls. No 16 year old boy in rural Ohio who dresses like that is straight and frankly you should know better.
• I want Finn/Kurt sooooo baaadd.
• Frankenteen! HAHA If you follow Cory on twitter, you'll get me on this one.
• The whole boy band thing? SRSLY SHOW? WTF?
• I think that Josh Groban comment should be amended. If you listen to Josh Groban, kill yourself. Though based on things I've read and his appearance on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, I actually do think he's a cool, normal person who just happens to sing really shit music. Someone should help him fix that.
• There just seems to be a lot of inconsistent character development going on and I really hope it gets better or I don't think I'm going to last long in watching this show. I really really love the concept but something is wrong and they need to find a way to recapture the magic of the pilot.

Bones. Let me tell you my thing with Bones. When this show first premiered it was when Crossing Jordan was still on the air. I don't think any of you know the love I had and still have for that show. Woody & Jordan were my OTP for a very long time and I miss them so bad. So when Bones came on the air I tried to watch it. I made it about half way through the pilot before I realized it was a COMPLETE rip off of CJ. I really really was appalled by this and never gave it another chance. Until about 5 months ago. I watched 3 1/2 seasons in a week, probably less actually. I do like the show, but I could never, ever do the fandom. For me it would just be disrespectful to a very important time in my fandom life and het just really doesn't do it for me anymore.

My thoughts on 5x01:

• Can someone tell Emily Deschanel to dye her hair darker. Please? The blonde looks terrible. Also what's with the frocks. Are you pregnant and forget to tell us?
• I love a mass grave. Lots of story potential with those.
• Oh Cyndi Lauper. She always appears in the most random places. Was just talking about her with my mom and aunt a couple days ago actually.
• Personally I don't think there's much to say about this ep. I found the whole thing a bit boring.

Lately things have been failing to impress me. I don't know if I've been watching too much Generation Kill but I haven't seen anything lately that's really wowed me. Hopefully that will change soon. *shrugs* Maybe Merlin on Saturday will do the trick

I was obviously rooting for BSB but I know it's not gonna happen in a non-mocking context.

Also, not being a fan of the 'musical' genre, one of the reasons why I enjoyed the pilot so much is the fact that their performances were put in contexts where they made sense, such as auditions and rehearsals, but I don't like it very much when characters randomly burts into show choir acts while chatting or, IDK... CLEANING CARS!? >.<
